CILAS LASER Particle sizing and shape analysis

CILAS recently launched PACA2M, its new optical coatings machine, now operational in its Aubagne site near Marseille in the south of France, the largest in Europe using magnetron sputtering technology.

PACA2M, can produce thin film coatings on optical components up to 2 meters by 2 meters, up to 40 centimeters thick and weighing up to 1.5 tonnes.

The machine is equipped with:

New optical coatings machine PACA2M 5 materials, metals and dielectrics.
New optical coatings machine PACA2M Live in-situ optical monitoring.
New optical coatings machine PACA2M 5 position load-lock.

The PACA2M plateform also includes:

New optical coatings machine PACA2M A fully automated cleaning machine using ultrasonic and detergents.
New optical coatings machine PACA2M Equipments for coating removal and thin film coatings metrology.

Class 100 (ISO5) to class 10000 (ISO7) clean room.

Applications Le laser

With PACA2M, CILAS has made a major investment in a large coating machine, that will allow to address new markets with large-sized optics.
The first contracts are related to the optical coating of reflectors for the Laser Mega Joule program, mirrors for solar furnaces, mirrors for space and ground telescopes.
The PACA2M platform also has the advantage of addressing mass production markets, since the capacity of the coating machine enables a very large number of components to be processed simultaneously at very competitive prices.
